The Kinaesthetics learn model is a tested learning process based on cybernetic learning theory. The learner first establishes a beginning condition, undertakes a learning process by taking apart some component of a more complete thing (one aspect of movement), then engaging in some integrative activity that allows insight from the learning step to be incorporated back into an intuitive performance. Each cycle then returns to a comparison of the starting activity with the performance of that activity in light of the learning. This ends only with an evaluation and documentation of the whole learning.experience.

The curricular background in which Kinaesthetics programs have their effect on the personal, professional and organizational growth of competence is that of stepped elements that orient or give a focus to each level of course work in each program. The first level looks at the course material from the viewpoint of “what”. What is the nature of the Kinaesthetics concept system and what is the nature of the human anatomy ants it’s movement, as well as what is the nature of nursing care (in the case of the nursing program). The second level course has a focus on “How” do the qualities work. The third level asks “why” do things work as they do. The fourth level is about the environment in which behavior takes place. This is a where question. It is followed by an integrative question of What for is all this learning. Finally, the last curricular focus is one in which an evaluation and documentation is made of who the learner is now at the end of a curricular process. This curricular spiral is built in to each Kinaesthetics program and it ties the practitioners program to that of the training and the train the trainer level of each program forming a comprehensive unified whole education system.
